MOONG DAL SAMOSA || MINI SAMOSA || YELLOW LENTILS SAMOSA



Moong Dal Mini Samosas

Samosa is a very popular street food served all over India.


Whether it is fried,you cannot resist to have it. I have recently shared Samosa Recipe in my Youtube Channel as well as in my blog,Click on name to view it in my Youtube Channel. Though the authentic Samosas filled with Potato Stuffing is loved by Everyone,This yummy mini Moong Dal(Yellow Lentils)Samosas are equally good. The best part is this can be stored upto 1 month in an air-tight container,so whenever you have your tea just take this yummy samosas as snack. So try it and your kids and whole family will love it!













Ingredients:


For Samosa Stuffing:-


1 cup Yellow Lentils(Moong Dal)


2-3 tbsp Oil


1/2 tsp Aamchur Powder


1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder


1/2 tsp Cumin (Jeera)Powder



Salt as per taste


For Samosa Dough:-


2 cup Refined Wheat Flour(Maida)


1 tsp Carom Seeds(Ajwain)


Salt as per taste


1/4 cup Oil


Water(as required)


Oil(For Frying)


Method:


For Samosa Stuffing:-


Soak Moong Dal in water for 3-4 hours. After 3-4 hours, Remove all the water from it.


Heat a Pan/Kadhai and add oil,once it heats,add moong dal and roast it until moisture gets removed and it turns crispy.


Now,take moong dal in mixer jar and add aamchur powder,red chilli powder,cumin powder,salt and grind coarsely.


Moong Dal Stuffing is ready!


For Samosa Dough:-


Take a plate and place a Siever,Sieve maida in it .


Take ajwain and rub it in your hand and add it for enhancing taste and aroma.


Add salt and oil and mix the oil with flour perfectly so that the samosas turn out crispy.


When the flour starts taking shape,add little water and make dough,dough should neither be thick nor thin.


Rest it for 20 minutes.


For Making Samosa:-


After 20 minutes,take dough and make small balls .


Take a ball and roll it perfectly,in oval shape,neither thick nor thin.


Cut the roti half and take the half part and make cone.Apply water on sides for stickyness.(You can see in my Youtube Video given Below)


Fill the stuffing in the cone and close the cone by apply water and pressing it.


Make rest of samosas and cover it with napkin/wet napkin.


Meanwhile,heat oil in medium flame and fry samosas till golden and crisp.


Serve mini samosas with green chutney,Tomato ketchup or with Fried green chillies and ENJOY!
