Chinese Bhel is a fast food of Northeast Indian Origin. It is a variant of chop suey. It is also widely popular in Mumbai. Nowadays,because of lockdown in India,street food is not available. So try this delicious Chinese Bhel.
Ingredients:
For Making Sauce:-
25-30 Kashmiri Dry Red Chilly
Piece of Ginger
1-2 tbsp Garlic Paste
1/2 cup Water
3-4 tbsp Oil
1/4 cup Water
Salt as per Taste
1 tsp Sugar
Pinch of Citric acid
2 tbsp Cornflour in 3-4 tbsp Water(Slurry)
For Making Noodles:-
1 and 1/2 litre water
1 tsp Oil
Salt as per taste
2 packet Plain noodles
Oil For Frying
For Chinese Bhel:-
Prepared fried noodles
1/4 cup Chopped Cabbage
1/4 cup Chopped Spring Onion
2 tbsp of Prepared Sauce
Method:
For Making Sauce:-
Soak dry kashmiri red chillies in hot water for 30 minutes.
Take chillies in mixer jar and add garlic paste and ginger and blend it.Don't throw the water which we have used for soaking.Add it in mixer jar.
Heat a kadhai and add oil and add sauce and mix well.
Add salt,sugar,citric acid,cornflour slurry and mix for 2-3 minutes. Sauce should not be thick.
For Making Noodles:-
Now,heat a pan/kadhai and add water,oil,salt and let it boil.
Add plain noodles and boil it upto 80%.
As it boils,strain it and wash it with cold water.
When water strains out completely,heat oil and fry noodles till golden and Crisp.
As it cools,crush the noodles gently with your hand.
For Making Chinese Bhel:-
Take crushed noodles in a bowl and add cabbage and spring onion. Add 2 tbsp Sauce and mix well.
Garnish with spring onion and Chinese Bhel is ready to Serve!
