JANMASHTAMI SPECIAL DHANIYA PANJEERI

 Janmashtami Special Prasad Dhaniya Panjiri

On the auspicious occasion of janmashtami a healthy and nutritious dhaniya panjiri prepared with coriander powder,powder sugar, and dry nuts. Dhaniya panjiri is an aromatic preparation of  dry ingredients mixed together to form a sweet prasad. It has been tradition in my house to make dhaniya panjiri on janmashtami.



Prepration Time: 10 Minutes

Cooking Time: 10 Minutes

Total Time:20 Minutes

Ingredients:




1 cup coriander Powder 

1 cup makhana phool

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup grated dry cocounuts

1/4 cup ghee

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

Cashewnuts and almonds  (cut)

Method:

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast makhana phool and cashunuts and almonds until light brown in colour keep stirring untill nuts are roasted remove and set it aside.

In the same pan add 1 tbsp ghee add dry grated  cocounuts and  roast till colour change slightly. keep it aside in a same bowl with roasted nuts.






Again in a pan add remaning  ghee  and add  coriander powder on a medium heat cook coriander powder untill it starts emitting its aroma, add cardamom powder mix well.






Once done take it off the flame. wait until all ingredients cool down slightly.



In a bowl mix all ingredients and powder sugar mix it well.






Adjust sugar to suit your taste preference.

Mix and panjiri is ready.

Store in an airtight container for a month.

Enjoy this yummy prasad on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.
