Tomato Onion Chutney
Tomato onion chutney is my one of the most favourite chutney with masoor dal kichdi and idli. I make this chutney at least once a week. Even I use it as a spread for sandwich. tomato onion chutney is quick its super delicious and easy to make. Here is my favourite tomato chutney recipe. Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
Total time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
1 cups finely
chopped tomato
½ cup onion
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
1 teaspoon mustard
seeds(use as needed)
4-5 Curry
leaves
2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Red
chilli powder
Finely
chopped coriander
Salt as per taste

Method:
Heat oil in a
pan,add mustard seeds and curry leaves and allow it to crackle.Add the onion sautΓ© on a medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
Once onion turn transparent,add garlic and mix well and roast for a few minutes until you notice the roasted aroma coming through.

Add chopped
tomato, red chilli powder, salt and little water cooked on a medium flame for
5-10 minutes,while stirring occasionally. Once tomato are mushy switch of the
flame.
Garnish with coriander.
Serve immediately
with rice, Paratha or kichadi.
Note:
You can blend
this chutney in a blender (after cool down completely) and make smooth paste
and also serve with idli and dosa.
