MASALA CHAI

Masala Chai

The Masala Chai is delicious Indian milk tea made with a spices such as cardamom and ginger.There are many versions of this tea, but this recipe is for my Lovely Husband who became one of my first ever" MASALA TEA FAN" Daily when he comes back from office he generally calls me when he is on the way and say "MAKE MY MASALA CHAI" I love to make this tea for him with lots of love. Many authentic chai recipes include cinnamon stick, black peppercorns, and nutmeg. All of the spices add a delicious warmth to the chai as well as some heat from the black pepper and ginger.Adjust the ingredients as per your taste.Green Cardamom and Ginger It is the most important part of chai do include this in your chai and don’t skip.I just love the fragenance of cardamon and ginger.




Prep Time: 3 Minutes

Cook Time: 5 Minutes 

Total Time:8 Minutes

Servings: 1

Ingredients( for one cup of tea)

1/2 tea cups water

2-3 pods green cardamom

2 cloves

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp chopped ginger(greated ginger)

1 tsp loose black tea

1/2cup tbsp milk (I use whole milk)

Method:

In a small saucepan, pour the water from the cup and bring it to boil.

Add tea leaves(chai patti),cardamom, cloves,sugar and ginger if you like, and let all ingredients boil for for 2 minutes.


Add milk and bring it to boil again,When boiling again reduce heat and keep simmering for another 2 minutes.


Remove from heat and strain tea with a strainer.Serve with a biscuit or cookie.

Note :Adjust the amounts for each ingredient as per your taste.
