POTATO WEDGES|| CAFE STYLE POTATO WEDGES

Potato Wedges



A simple potato based snack recipe which is usually served as sides in a fast food or fine dine restaurants with main meals. generally wedges are served with tomato sauce or mayonnaise with extra seasonings on top of crisp wedges along with Burger.

My kids really loved this recipe. Try this recipe and also check my other snacks collection.


Ingredients:

For Potato Wedges:-

1/2 kg Big Size Potatoes

1 and 1/2 litre Water

Salt

For Slurry:-

3-4 Tbsp Cornflour

1/4 cup Maida

1/4 cup rice Flour

1/4 cup Cornflour

Mixed Herbs,Oregano,Garlic Powder/Paste(For Taste)

Water

Oil(For Frying)

Method:

In a vessel,soak Potatoes in water for 30-45 minutes(with peel).

Cut the Potatoes in Wedges shape. (You can also see my Youtube video given below).

In a pan,boil water and half cook potatoes. Add Salt.

Coat the wedges with cornflour and let it cool.

In a bowl,add maida,rice flour,corn flour,mixed herbs,oregano,garlic powder. Add little water and make a flowing consistency batter.

Cover the wedges in this batter one by one.

Meanwhile,heat oil in a pan and fry wedges till golden and crisp.

Sprinkle mixed herbs and oregano and serve with tomato ketchup and mayonnaise and Enjoy!

Note:

1. Use only Big Sized Potatoes.

2. Remove the mud from the peel by using Toothbrush.

3. You can increase the quantity of potatoes by your choice.

4. You can use other sprinklers for taste.
