Let's Start With This Festival and Maharashtrian Special.Healthy, delicious and simple recipe of ladoos prepared with sesame seeds, jaggery, peanuts and desiccated coconut. a vegan recipe.
Makar Sankranti is round the corner and so thought of sharing these sesame seeds ladoo recipe. In mumbai (Maharashtra) during makar sankranti, til gul ladoos (’til’ means sesame seeds and ‘gul’ is jaggery in marathi) were shared with everyone with these words – Til gul ghya god god bola. this means take the til gul and speak sweet words.
In this till laddu recipe, i have cooked the jaggery syrup until melted completely so this gives the ladoos a soft and perfect texture. you can also cook the jaggery syrup to hard ball stage and you will get firm and dense ladoos.
You can also make this ladoo as a sweet snacks for winter Season.
Ingredients:
1 cup Sesame seeds (White Til)
1 Grated Cup Jaggery (Gud)
1/4 Cup Coarsely Griend roasted Peanut/Badam
2-3 tbsp Water
1-2 tbsp ghee
Method:
Turn on the flame
In a pan add sesame seeds and dry roaste until colour change slightly it's take 3-4 minutes on low flame.
Once sesame seeds roasted well keep aside in a plate.
Now in a same pan add 1-2 Tbsp ghee.Add Jaggery and water stir it well on a low flame let jaggery melt completely.
Once bubble appear in a melted jaggery mix sesame seeds and peanut and badam mixture in it Mix it well and turn off the flame.
Immediately take jaggery sesame seeds mixture in a grease plate.
when the mixture is still hot, begin to form til ladoos from it. if too hot, then wait for a minute and then form the ladoos. spread some water,ghee in your palms to form the ladoos. if you are not able to form ladoos when the mixture is too hot, then wait for some seconds and then make the til ladoos.
you can also use a 1/2 to 1 tablespoon for scooping the mixture and making the sesame ladoos. then just shape the ladoos once you scoop them out. do shape the ladoo when the mixture is hot. if the mixture cools down, then the til ladoo cannot be made.
You can also apply little cold ghee on a palm and make ladoo
Tips : While preparing each ladoo apply little water on palm.its help you to make ladoo fast .
