METHI MUTHIYA
Methi muthiya is a Gujurati snack and breakfast recipe made from fenugreek leaves and besan whole wheat flour and some spices.I am prepread steam muthiya as snack and fried muthiya use in sabzi like undhiyo or tuver muthiya nu shaak in winter.Ingredients:
1 cup methi wash and chopped leaves
1/2 cup besan
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tbsp ginger garlic green chilli paste
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp hing
1 tsp kasuri methi
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp white sesame seeds
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp sugar
4 tbsp water
Oil for for frying(pan fry)
Method:
Wash methi leaves very well squeeze extra water and chop methi leaves.
Take besan,whole wheat flour,salt,sugar,turmeric powder,ginger garlic green chilli paste,and choppped fenugreek leaves and mix it well
Now make a dough add 2 tbsp water again mix it well.
Add little water sometimes you not need to to add water while kneading dough.
Grease the plate and your hand with oildivide the dough in to two part and make a cylinder shape roll.
Now take 1-2 cup of water and into the steamer and let the water come to steamer.
Steam it for to 15-20 minutes cheack the inserting toothpick if its come clean than it is done.
Remove it to another plate and let it cool for 5 minutes than make thin slice.
Heat the oil for tempering once hot add mustard seeds,sesame seeds let them pop now add hing.
Immidetely add slice muthiya saute for a minutes let it brown and crisp from both side.
You can also deep fry the muthiyas.
Tip:You can also add garam masala.
