Bhungara Bateta
Bhungara Bateta or Pipe Fryums & Spicy Potatoes.It is a very popular Street Fast Food from the western site of India and mainly in Gujarat.Ingredients:
3 big potato boiled(cut into a small cubes)
1 onion chopped
2 tomato chopped
2 tbsp garlic paste
2 tbsp chopped coriander
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 dry red chilli
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp hing
salt as per taste
1/4 tsp chaat masala
10-12 frysum(bhungara)
3 tbsp oil
3-4 tbsp water
Method:
In a mixture jar add onion,tomato,cumin seeds and salt 2-3 tbsp water and make a smooth puree.
Now in a pan,add oil.Once oil become hot enough add hing and dry red chillies and garlic paste saute for a minutes.
Add onion tomato puree and mix it well.Add salt,coriander powder,turmeric powder and red chilli powder,chaat masala and saute puree until oil start separate.
Add boil potato and Mix all ingredients well.Let it cook for 5 minutes,if mixture is dry then add little water in it.
After 5 minutes,add chopped coriander turn off the flame.
In another kadhai/pan,add oil and let oil become hot.Add frysum (bhungara)and deep fry the frysum.
Take fried frysum in a paper napkin.
Now in a serving plate,add potato mixture sprinkle some coriander and chaat masala.
Serve with frysum.
Bhungra bateta is ready to serve.
Suggestion:
You can dizzle on top of bhungra bateta some green coriander,tumerinda chutney for more taste.
