BADAM BARFI

Badam Barfi (Raksha Bandhan Special)

Among all the Indian sweets barfi holds special place,During festival and celebration. So here I am with one home made barfi for special festival Raksha bandhan with delicious and delightful badam(almond)barfi. You can make this recipe at home for any occasion.




Preparation Time:15 Minutes

Cooking Time:1 Hour

Total Time:1 Hour 15 Minutes

Servings:4

Ingredients:



1 Cup Badam (almonds)

3/4 cup sugar 

1/2 cup water 

1 tsp cardamom Powder

2 tbsp saffron milk (soaked saffron strands in to milk for 30 minutes)

2 tbsp ghee 

Method:

Soaked badam almonds in water for 7-8 hours and then peel the almond skin.

Grind the almonds in to a fine paste/powder.

In a pan add a sugar and water keep stiring untill sugar dissolves.




Once it come to boil check the consistency of sugar syrup for(1 strings consistency).




Once sugar syrup is ready add almond paste/powder and mix it well,till it get thick.



Once mixture get started ticken add saffron milk,cardamom powder and 1 tsp ghee stir continuously till you get dough consistency and almond mixture stop sticking the pan add 1 tbsp ghee and mix well, Turn off the flame.









Remove it immediately in a grasing plate,Sprade the mixture on to a plate with the help of steel bowl which is graced with ghee.After mixture cool down completely,freeze it for 1 hour.







After 1 hour mango barfi is ready,cut out the barfi shapes.

Badam barfi is ready to serve.

Suggestion:

You can also make the shape of ladoos and rolls before freezing it.
