OATS KHEER

Oats Kheer

This is a simple oats kheer recipe. you can serve the kheer for breakfast or as a dessert after meals. Ghee gives a rich flavour and aroma to the kheer. It is very simple and so sweetly good with 3 royal ingredients like oats, sugar and milk.




Preparation Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time : 10 Minutes

Total Time : 15 Minutes

Ingredients:

1/2 cup oats ( plain oats)

2 cup milk

1/4  cup sugar (or as per taste)

1 tbsp ghee

6-7 chopped cashewnuts 

6-7 chopped almonds

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

one tbsp saffron milk

Method:

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a kadai or pan add cashewnuts and almonds and fry till colour changes slightly.






Add 1/2 cup of oats,stir well and saute for 2 minutes on a low flame.After 2 minute oats colour chanege slightly.





Now add milk, 2 tbsp saffron milk and and let milk boil for a minutes.


Once milk started boiling add  1/4 cup sugar and cardamom powder mix it well .




Mix very well simmer the kheer for 2 minutes or till oats soften and cardamom powder and mix it well  dont cook the oats kheer too much it will become thick kheer.



Serve warm or chilled as a breakfast or sweet dessert after meal.
