POTATO WAFERS RECIPE || HOMEMADE POTATO CHIPS
Potato Wafers
A simple and easy recipe for homemade potato chips that is easy,light and delicious. Potato chips is the most favourite and popular snack across the world. There are also many flavours available in this snack. Most of the store bought potato chips contain preservative. It is most easy and hygienic snack. You can make a batch of it and store it in an air-tight container instead of buying it from the store. So try it and enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Big Potatoesπ₯
Water(as required)
Pinch Of Alum(Fitkari)
1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste
Method:
Peel Potatoes and make chips using a slicer.
Meanwhile,keep rest of potatoes in water so that it's colour doesn't change.
Wash the potatoes for 4-5 times so that the starch gets removed.
Meanwhile,heat water in pan/kadhai and add alum powder,salt and potato slices and let water boil or potato cooks.
Take potatoes in a strainer and dry them in cotton cloth under sunlight for 2 days.
After 2 days,take potatoes and heat oil and fry the potato chips.
Take potato chips in a plate and you will find that the chips are white and crispy because of Alum powder. ENJOY!
Potato Wafers
Note/Tip:
1. Don't overcook potatoes because when you will dry them,cracks will form.
2. Use big size potatoes for large and crispy chips.
